Great Hammerhead Shark – Strange and Swift

A week of sharks continues at Art By Breah. These interesting species feature a uniquely shaped head from which they gain their common name. The sharks eyes are positioned at each end of it’s “hammer” shaped head. Averaging between 10 and 15 feet, these animals are often found in large schools and are known as swift and powerful swimmers (up to 25mph). Feeding on a variety of marine life, one of their favorite prey appear to be stingrays. One of the most recognizable fish in the sea: the Great Hammerhead Shark.

Here is a pencil sketch drawing of the Great Hammerhead Shark.
