Sand Tiger Shark – Fearsome but Shy

A week of sharks continues at Art By Breah. Possessing a fearsome look, these sharks are generally calm and slow moving. Reaching lengths of 12 feet long and exposing several rows of jagged teeth as they swim with their mouth partially open. Divers have encountered these menacing looking animals up close but it is typically the shark that shies away. They are found in mostly sandy, coastal regions throughout the warm water oceans. Known sometimes as Ragged-Tooth Sharks they are most commonly called: Sand Tiger Sharks.

Here is a pencil sketch drawing of a Sand Tiger Shark.
