Despite its frightening reputation, this creepy looking creature is not a threat to people. Though it can walk and is quite a strong jumper, this is the only mammal with the ability of flight. This species is just 1 of only 3 out of a thousand varieties of its kind that feed on blood. Piercing the skin of sleeping cattle and horses with it’s razor-sharp teeth (though this rarely wakens the prey), it can drink half its body weight in blood in only 20 minutes. A native of Central and South America here is the creepy but cool, Vampire Bat.
