The most recognizable duck found throughout North America and Eurasia. The male’s green head, brown breast and black tail-curl make it one of the most easily identifiable of all ducks.
Migrating flocks of Mallards have been estimated traveling at 55 miles per hour. Found in both city parks and isolated wetlands, the Mallard Duck is the ancestor of almost all domestic duck breeds.
